AGENCY Appification YEAR 2013
With his app “electrify” Ingo Koch was able to create a widely observed and valued groove box app. Taking the application to the next level, the plan was to visually revise it while extending its features. In order to increase user experience, Ingo asked me to support him in designing a new user interface for the app.
Together we came up with a very simplistic and narrowed design language, which was, at the time, rather adventurous compared to the predominating skeuomorphism theme at Apple, for example. However, six months later, observing both the release of iOS 7 and the success of the app itself, our choice of design turned out to be worth the risk.
